This telecommunications company wanted graphics that reflected their active, modern, Flash infused website. This header just does that. Following the vibrant color scheme used on the website this header gives you the vitals; the company logo and it boldly states the company tagline. The website features moving clouds so we felt it appropriate to bring the clouds into the display graphics as well. Many small companies miss the importance of consistency in their marketing. Do you have a strong graphic identity in both your print collateral and web site? Your display graphics should reflect that image.
An improvised map and graphic design elements in the background add visual interest as well as drawing emphasis to this internet company’s global territory. Earthtone colors were used throughout the display.
Professional illustrations are an excellent option that we don’t see much of. Many stock photography websites also provide illustrations. Or, for a more personal touch you can contract an illustrator for a job as this property inventory service company did. Then you have an image that is truly all your own.
Take advantage of the backlighting of your graphic. The darker the background, the more contrast you will achieve. The lighter text and graphics will appear more illuminated. The three following examples are good examples.
Vibrant colors and highlights add to the feeling of motion this logo imparts. The background gradient enforces this sense of motion. This simple solution effectively draws attention to the company name and tagline.

Here is another example of keeping the your marketing vehicle simple, yet attention getting. Advertisers have long known that people are drawn to pictures of faces. This company capitalizes on that by presenting a huge face equipped with technical circuitry to represent their high tech referencing systems. The company’s tagline follows, along with an industry publication “pull quote” which describes the company’s services. The display closes out with the company name that enforces the brand. A backlit header showing the company name would rest at the top of the display.
Sometimes words get in the way! Can you guys what this company sells? They chose to simply let the colorful tropical fish do the talking. The display featured a backlit header across the top that showed the company logo and listed their main product line.
A successful trade show display need not contain line after line of verbiage. To the contrary. To quote Mies van der Rohe, "Less is More." Here's a good example of that. The large 3 panel background image grabs people's attention from the start; from near or far. The unique tornado of keywords again demands attention, speaks to the targeted audience and points below to the company's product name. In some instances it is necessary for a trade show exhibit design to be elegant and strong simultaneously. This specialty paint company for interior designers needed a trade show display with a feminine yet bold feel. This was underscored by the choice of a soft background color and complementary yet strong "chocolate brown" text and horizontal lines. The tagline is upfront and bold. Some clients choose to build their trade show display using only two Photomural panels. A two panel artboard provides a vertical oriented canvas to design with. This "hot rod" association took full advantage of these two panels by taking the audience out on the open road with them. In this case, the client let the visual do the talking. One of our clients, a trade show exhibit veteran, once offered, "With your trade show display, you just want to give them a little slap to get their attention." This display is a nice little slap. The client's logo and internet address were attached to the remaining panels.

The viewer's eye is led from the internet company's logo, to a soft duotone photograph of a woman. The contoured background on this Pop Up Display shape leads the eye to follow to the bold, large type which details the core marketing points and, finally to descriptive text on the final panel. There is an overall friendly, welcoming feel to the piece.
This Hair and Skin Care company expresses the beauty of simplicity. Professional, clean, crisp photography is key here. Muted colors and minimalist design present the details of the products while not competing with the photography.
An established name in consumer electronics, Fujitsu chose to simply offer photographs of new product offerings on this display. Professional photography and bold product names are the focal point. Unless your company is as established and well known as Fujitsu, it would be recommended that you present your marketing points, informing potential clients of your products and services.
This communications company wanted to drive home the theme of "worldwide communications." A sky blue color scheme is the background. A professional stock photo was selected that had a similar feel to the globe in the existing company logo. This stock photo was incorporated into the design of the panels and serves to "anchor" the panels. The radiant "grid" effect was utilized to draw attention to the marketing points and logo. The company tagline, product features and info on a company partner are clearly displayed on individual copy panels.
This technology company manufactures software designed for digital investigators to foil cyber criminals. The theme is meant to convey a dark, sinister feel. A black backdrop with glowing green accents offers a mysterious look and compliments the photography and logo. Two product offerings on detachable panels are prominently placed beside two photomural panels featuring the company tagline and a large professional stock image.
Layout considerations There is a hierarchy of importance in your trade show exhibit graphic design layout. Communication anywhere must always follow the same rules, no matter where it is. A headline identifies. That’s at the top, where your company name goes. After the trade show, that’s what they will remember in their mind’s eye, if you did it right. The area right below that tells the viewer or reader what you are going to tell them, a sub header, tagline or simple statement about what you do. Below that, is an illustration or example of what the sub header or tag line says that reinforces what was said.
Of course, you need to use fonts compatible or the same as your logo, colors that compliment it, and be consistent in the use of color. No matter what, if the colors are harmonious and the overall look of the exhibit is focused on your message and all visual distractions have been eliminated, your exhibit booth will function well as a vehicle for your marketing vehicle.
